Rama First Nation delivers a unique, culturally relevant Paramedicine Program that operates in the community 7 days per week and is seeking to recruit and train additional Level 2 Community Paramedics to act as advocates and work collaboratively with the Community Health Care Team by providing primary care to patients in the community. College Diploma in Emergency Health Care/Paramedicine (A-EMCA) or equivalent. Qualifications as per the Ambulance Act, Ontario Regulations 257 /00 (General Regulations) including certification as a Primary Care Paramedic. Base Hospital certification in PCP Autonomous IV. Strong communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills. Knowledge of community and regional resources. Interest and ability to do program development and delivery. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel. Ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends. Minimum 3 years experience as a Paramedic. Previous leadership experience or demonstrated leadership skills. Experience with or training in mental health, addictions, palliative care, advanced assessments, geriatric care, community health care, chronic disease management an asset.
