Reporting to the Chief/Director, Paramedic Services this role is responsible for overall logistics and support functions for the Paramedic Services division including procurement and ongoing maintenance to ensure operational readiness and compliance with legislative requirements.
he successful candidate must possess a degree in Health or Business or a related field, with a minimum five to seven (5-7) years’ related experience. Management/supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment, is required, along with a solid background in managing divisional needs and service requirements to develop effective procurement, distribution and maintenance programs. In depth knowledge of related legislation such as the Narcotic Control Act, Highway Traffic Act and the Ambulance Act is also required, along with a Financial Management background or Logistics Certification (CCLP). Strong oral and written communication skills along with strong problem solving, analytical and project management skills are needed. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance principles and awareness of new industry related items specific to vehicles, equipment, supplies and technology is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
