Reporting to the Deputy Chief/Associate Director System Performance, EMS the Commander/Manager Mobile Integrated Health Programs is responsible for the design, development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of comprehensive programs related to existing, novel and integrated clinical programs through collaboration with internal and external health care stakeholders for the Emergency Services Division, thus ensuring clinical, operational and financial goals of the organization are met. EDUCATION: Post-secondary degree in a Health Services discipline; Post-secondary education in quality management; Complementary master’s degree preferred. KNOWLEDGE Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior management position supervising Quality Management/Assurance and/or Operations programs in Health or Emergency Services environments, with demonstrated leadership ability; Advanced knowledge of Emergency Medical Services operations and health care quality management best practices, legislative acts, and the regulations and bodies that guide Emergency Medical Services; Familiarity with research practices, and knowledge of and demonstrated use of evidence-informed decision-making processes; Knowledge of local community health care needs, knowledge of facilitators and barriers to local population wellness; Knowledge of broader community social and health services, and demonstrated experience working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary health care settings; Project Management training or equivalent experience; Advanced knowledge of Ambulance Communications Center operations, particularly Medical Priority Dispatch Protocol (MPDS) and Emergency Communications Nurse System (ECNS); EMDQ certification from the National/International Academies of Dispatch OR equivalency preferred; Paramedic experience, particularly Advanced Care Paramedic, is preferred. French Language is preferred.
