To mark the beginning of Paramedic Services Week 2021 (May 23-29), OAPC President Chief Peter F. Dundas has recorded a video thanking paramedics for their “tireless work and dedication” through the COVID-19 pandemic.
The theme for Paramedic Services Week 2021 is ‘Paramedic as Educator – Citizen Ready,’ which aims to demonstrate the important role that paramedics play as educators to the public.
The OAPC will be posting more content on the website and social media through the week, with each day from Monday to Saturday having a particular focus.
Themes for the week are as follows:
- Monday: Activation of 911
- Tuesday: Control the Bleeding
- Wednesday: High Performance CPR
- Thursday: Opioid Overdoses
- Friday: Emergency Preparedness (1st 72 hours)
- Saturday: Paramedic Services Recognition Day
