19 Jan TO ALL MEMBERS – OAPC Psychological Wellness Guide for Ontario paramedic organizations is now available
The Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs (OAPC) Psychological Health and Wellness (PHW) Committee is pleased to announce the launch of the OAPC Psychological Wellness Guide for Ontario Paramedic Organizations. Click here to access it now. It is also available from the homepage of our website and via the QR code on this poster should you wish to print it out.
As part of the committee’s mandate, we want to ensure that all paramedic organizations have access to the right resources, at the right time, when they need them. This database includes resources specific to all 56 Ontario paramedic organizations, as well as provincial resources, Mobile Apps, Fitness Apps, and ICBT resources. Use the table of contents (click here for guidance) and/or click on the service map crests for easier navigation.
While the OAPC has compiled these resources to ensure equitable access for all paramedic organizations in Ontario, it is the responsibility of each organization to review their resources annually, and to provide any revisions to the OAPC. The review and revisions will be broken down by quarter and paramedic zone; you will receive more information on your service’s timeline.
The OAPC is pleased to provide these resource directories. However, the OAPC assumes no responsibility or liability for the quality or professional standard of services listed in the resource guide. The information contained in this resource guide is provided on an “as is” basis with no guarantees of completeness, accuracy, usefulness or appropriateness for the member utilizing any of the resources provided. In short, and without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the OAPC is providing these resources without any obligation to do so and nothing herein shall form the basis of any relationship or advice to those requiring assistance, nor does the gathering of these resources form any contractual or other obligations between the OAPC and those requiring assistance. The OAPC shall bear no responsibility, contractually or otherwise, for the quality of resources, the lack of appropriate resources or any individual or organizations decision to rely on these resources rather than seeking specific professional assistance appropriate in the circumstances.
OAPC is committed to the Psychological Health and Wellness in the workplace and as such provides these resources to all paramedic organizations to promote and support the wellbeing of employees of paramedic services across the province.
If you have any questions, or wish to submit any changes in the directory, please email the Committee Chair, Mayram Traub at mayram.traub@niagararegion.ca
