16 May Better Care Starts Here: Ontario Celebrates Paramedic Services Week 2026
This Sunday marks the start of Paramedic Services Week 2026, celebrating the nearly 12,000 paramedics who provide expert care and vital support to communities across Ontario. This year’s theme, “Better Care Starts Here,” recognizes the many ways paramedics use their advanced expertise to care for, protect, and strengthen the communities they serve.
“Behind every interaction there’s a person, there’s a family, there’s a story, and a moment that matters. Paramedics provide not only expert care, they also deliver compassion, reassurance and dignity,” says OAPC President Greg Sage.
During Paramedic Services Week, we celebrate the dedication, professionalism, and compassion that paramedics bring to their work every day. Their service has a profound impact on the health and well-being of Ontarians and helps ensure people receive the right care at the right time.
