The CEMC provides Emergency Management Services to Huron County and several of its member municipalities in accordance with the provincially mandated risk based principals of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.

Qualifications

Post-Secondary education in Public Administration, Emergency Management, Municipal Planning, Social Services, or similar discipline, or equivalent through a combination of education and experience. Three (3) years’ experience as an Emergency Management Professional. Extensive knowledge of the Emergency Management & Civil Protection Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, and related Legislation and Regulations. Completion of the Provincial CEMC, BEM, IMS 100, 200 and 250 certificates Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior staff, politicians, the public, and allied agencies. Computer skills in a Windows Environment, Microsoft Office and other computer software programs. Ability to formulate and implement training objectives and public presentations. Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License
