Leeds Grenville Paramedic Service is presently seeking casual Primary and Advanced Care Paramedics who will provide effective assessment, treatment and transportation of patients to medical and/or any other facility. This is accomplished with respect for the patient’s needs and confidentiality. Individuals will functions in the interchangeable roles of primary patient care provider and driver while providing out-of-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for ill and injured persons, to, from, and between treatment facilities, utilizing specially equipped vehicles. Works rotating shifts throughout a 24-hour, seven day a week emergency medical service, including weekends and statutory holidays.

• Must meet all current primary or advanced care certifications per the Ambulance Act. Must be certified with Base Hospital and maintain certification. • Must have a valid Class F Ontario Driver’s License and acceptable driving record. • Knowledge of, competency, and ability to comply with basic life support and advanced life support standards, and policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations (e.g., highway traffic act). • Ability to read and interpret legislation, periodicals, policies, procedures, • Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation, including weekends and statutory holidays. • Must provide an acceptable Police Vulnerable Sector Check (level 3).
