Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Post-secondary education in health care delivery relevant to the requirements of the Community Programs or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Proven supervisory skills in leading a diverse team. • Extensive experience as a Primary Care or Advanced Care Paramedic. • Community Paramedicine experience is an asset. • Must possess a F Class driver's license or better and meet all requirements for license maintenance as set forth by the Region of Peel. DEMONSTRATED: • Knowledge and understanding of all applicable ALS Patient Care Standards, Standard Operating Procedures and Region of Peel policies. • Knowledge of the legislation and policies relating to Ambulance Services. • Experience in the development of complex projects in health care, paramedicine, education, quality management or related undertakings. • Experience utilizing a variety of computer software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint). • Ability to deliver presentation material effectively to a wide spectrum of audiences. • Experience writing reports, preparing correspondence, and statements for a variety of stakeholders. ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE • Excellent and consistent accountability and judgement. • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at a wide variety of levels, tailored to the needs of diverse audiences.
