Premier and Ministers Address OAPC Spring Symposium

05 May Premier and Ministers Address OAPC Spring Symposium

Premier of Ontario Doug Ford addressed the OAPC’s Spring Symposium Business Meeting today, and thanked paramedics for keeping communities safe.

The Premier also acknowledged paramedic chiefs for their leadership and the “amazing work” their teams do.

Also addressing the Symposium was Health Minister Christine Elliott. She said: “In a year unlike any other, paramedics across the province have gone above and beyond to support Ontario’s pandemic response. You have been there for patients and families when they needed you most, never wavering in your commitment and compassion.”

Ontario’s Minister of Long-Term Care Merrilee Fullerton also took the time to thank paramedics and chiefs. “Thinking of this journey that we’ve all been on, how incredibly important all of you are, and how incredibly grateful I am,” She said. “Not only for the Community Paramedic Program, but for everything that you are doing.”

The event was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
