The Deputy Chief – Quality Assurance & Education develops and manages Paramedic staff education and training, ensuring efficient utilization of human, physical and financial resources. This position is responsible for monitoring service levels of County residents and visitors, completing GAP analyses of ACR data to identify trends and patterns, building and designing training materials that meet Ministry requirements, and ensuring all work is completed in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, standards, policies and procedures. Requirements for this position include a 3- or 4- year Primary Care Paramedic or Advanced Care Paramedic diploma and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience, preferably in a municipal environment. Additional certification in QA, CQI, and adult education, as well as training experience conducting investigations are assets.
