Job Description

The County of Grey is currently recruiting for a Wellness and Support Manager in the Paramedic Services department. Join us and help make a difference! As a member of the Paramedic Services management team, you are responsible for the coordination and implementation of programs to support Paramedics’ physical, emotional, and mental health, while fostering a cooperative team environment and coaching staff to their highest practical standard. POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for administrative processes and follow-up including labour management inquiries, concerns, collective agreement interpretation and implementation, education, health and safety, onboarding of new staff, coordination of return to work and offboarding staff. • Actively design and promote programs which encourage the safety, health, resiliency, and well-being of members, while mitigating risk of operational stress injury.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field (ie. Ontario Paramedic system), including progressive management experience preferred. • Undergraduate degree in Health Sciences or related field; preference for Business, Human Resources, Health Services, Public Sector, or related undergraduate discipline. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be taken into consideration.
